These images clearly illustrate that when a winter landscape incorporates mountains, miniature trees, artificial snow and model shrubs, there is very little need to cram it full of houses - 'less is more'. A small ice skating rink forms a subtle centrepiece for the display base.

The various different heights and platforms have been created by using My Village plastic mountains, which have been softened and naturalised with snow spray and green scatter powder. The mountainous backing and evening sky all add to the overall wintery effect, making the scene appear very cold and seasonal.
