Christmas Village Displays

Photo of a well-landscaped model village with lots of snowOnce you have completed your Christmas village display, it is time to sit back an enjoy your creation, proudly sharing it with visitors, who will likely gasp with joy when you switch on the lights at night and they see it fully illuminated for the first time.

It can be great fun to photograph your village from many different angles, to capture your winter landscaping in all its glory. Taking photographs also has the distinct advantage of keeping a permanent record of your past layout from year to year, allowing you to easily compare and where necessary, replicate and repeat the same design or the elements that worked best.

Here are some photographs of well-thought out and successfully put-together Christmas villages, clearly showing the very different effects that can be achieved with a combination of creativity, inventiveness, resourcefulness and imagination.
