Christmas Village Displays

Many garden centres put on amazing displays at Christmas time and my local garden centre seems to be especially fond of miniature Christmas villages. Each year they seem to get better and better, and this particular display certainly seemed to go down well, judging by the crowds of admirers. Everyone was magnetically drawn towards the village, and it was easy to see why. The dark blue background was certainly the perfect colour to off-set this miniature winter wonderland.

The display consisted of plastic mountains that were used to create tiered platforms for a selection of seasonal Lemax houses and buildings, with plenty of people, trees and accessories dotted around, together with some green reindeer moss. Fairy lights were used at the very top, appearing rather like stars in the night-time sky, while the bottom layer has been used to create a Christmas fairground park, complete with big wheel / Ferris wheel, roundabout and bumper cars.
